What services does the practice offer?

We offer a complete menu of medical and cosmetic skin care services, including Botox, hyaluronic acid fillers, biopsies and excisions, melanoma treatment, and CO2 laser resurfacing. Dr. Irizarry also provides minimally-invasive aesthetic and rejuvenation treatments.

What is Botox and what does it treat?

Botox is an injectable treatment that relaxes the facial muscles responsible for dynamic wrinkles, such as frown lines, forehead creases, and crow’s feet. Results typically appear within a few days and last several months, helping you achieve a smoother, more refreshed appearance.

What are dermal fillers used for?

Hyaluronic acid fillers restore lost volume and soften fine lines and folds around the cheeks, mouth, and lips. They can enhance facial contours and provide a more youthful look, with results that may last from several months up to two years depending on the product used.

What is CO2 laser resurfacing?

CO2 fractional laser resurfacing addresses sun damage, wrinkles, pigmentation, and scarring in a single in-office treatment with minimal downtime. The procedure stimulates collagen regeneration, and results continue to refine for months after healing, which typically takes about seven to ten days.

Do you perform skin cancer screenings and treatment?

Yes. Dr. Irizarry is a skin cancer expert who performs thorough skin exams, biopsies, and excisions. She also provides melanoma evaluation and treatment, along with guidance on protecting your skin going forward.

What are biopsies and excisions?

A biopsy removes a small sample of skin tissue for diagnostic evaluation, while an excision removes a lesion or growth entirely. Dr. Irizarry performs both procedures in-office to diagnose and treat suspicious or unwanted skin lesions.

Is Dr. Irizarry board certified?

Yes. Dr. Irizarry is a board-certified plastic surgeon and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She completed her general surgery residency at the New York University School of Medicine and her plastic surgery training at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City.

Will Dr. Irizarry perform my procedure personally?

Yes. Dr. Irizarry personally performs all cosmetic procedures and does not pass patients along to a nurse or aesthetician. This ensures consistent, attentive care from an experienced board-certified surgeon.

Do you accept insurance?

Insurance coverage varies by service and plan. Please contact our office at (719) 256-6600 so our team can review your specific situation and answer questions about coverage before your visit.

How long do filler and Botox results last?

Botox results generally last three to four months, while dermal filler results can last from six months up to two years depending on the product and treatment area. Maintenance appointments help you preserve your results over time.

Is there downtime after aesthetic treatments?

Downtime depends on the treatment. Botox and fillers usually require little to no recovery time, while CO2 laser resurfacing involves about seven to ten days of healing. Dr. Irizarry will review what to expect during your consultation.

What areas do you serve?

We serve patients throughout the central Colorado region and the San Luis Valley, including Crestone, Salida, and surrounding communities. Our two office locations make it convenient for patients across the area to receive care.
